Münster Port Festival

The special appeal of Münster’s port comes from its blend of converted historical warehouses and modern architecture. It is also where much of the city’s creative talent is concentrated.

The Kreativkai complex is home to a number of advertising agencies, architectural firms and publishing houses, such as the Coppenrath-Verlag, home of Germany’s much-loved Felix the Hare. A highlight in Münster’s events calendar is the annual port festival. For three days – and nights – the docks and adjoining promenade are transformed into one giant stage for musicians, activities and sports, plus a kaleidoscopic programme for children and families.

The next port festival takes place from 08 to 10 June 2012.
