CREATIVA – Europe’s largest trade fair for creative design
Once a year, the Westfalenhallen complex in Dortmund provides the venue for the largest trade fair for creative design in Europe. CREATIVA has been an annual highlight for the creative community for almost three decades. Visitors descend on Dortmund from all over Germany and beyond, eager to discover the latest trends and products in the areas of handwork, arts and crafts, painting and drawing.
Some 450 exhibitors in the five exhibition halls showcase a broad array of materials, equipment, tools and accessories for various creative techniques, plus works that they have created themselves. But that is not all CREATIVA has to offer: its numerous exhibitions and demonstration areas bring to life traditional and modern handwork and design techniques from local and foreign cultures. The fair also presents creative and unconventional fashion collections and provides information about the creative professions and associations. Another feature of CREATIVA is its extensive educational and workshop programme. Besides the general public, the fair attracts trade visitors from the fields of childcare, education, social work and therapy.
The 31st CREATIVA takes place between 14 and 18 March 2012 at the Westfalenhallen complex in Dortmund.
