On the last two weekends in August 2009, the public were treated – for the thirteenth time – to a veritable smorgasbord of art in and around Düsseldorf, as more than 500 artists opened up their workspaces.

Visitors were able to pop into the city’s participating studios across the two weekends for a look around, and were encouraged to chat with the artists themselves and get to know their work.
