Atelier Trieb

The artist Volker-Johannes Trieb has lived and worked in Osnabrück since 1987. His studio is located immediately next to the new Sutthausen stop on the regional Haller Willem train line.

Atelier Trieb is well worth a visit and makes an ideal starting point for exploring the Dütetal valley. Along the way, you might discover the remains of a former country manor and its grounds, or a railway track – or maybe icons of religious significance. Trieb is training his artistic vision on the entire landscape as he picks out feature after feature. Examples include the temporary installations and cultural programme at the Augustaschacht memorial, and the sculptures in Park des Marienheims on the Sutthausen estate. Also on the estate, a renaturalised cottage garden has been converted into an art installation.
